OPEN CALL AUDITIONS for TEDxColumbus 2019: SPARK

The Open Call is back!

On Thursday, June 20th from 6:30-8:30pm at the Idea Foundry, we will be hosting an open call audition for talks or performances to be presented at the 11th Annual TEDxColumbus: SPARK.  Bring your best passionate voices and share your idea that has SPARKED innovation, action or change in less than 3 minutes to a panel of judges. The first 25 people to arrive will be heard; first come, first served.  The doors will open for interested participants at 5:30pm; presentations begin straight up at 6:30pm. No pre-registrations taken. We will provide a timer to help you keep track of when to finish. No slides allowed, only verbal narrative. If you bring a personal story, please make sure it has a call to action that is relevant for the audience.

The PUBLIC IS WELCOME to attend and watch, in fact, we encourage it!  Light refreshments provided.  If you pitch at the audition and win, you must be available to deliver your talk on Friday, November 15th as well as rehearsal on November 14th and several coaching sessions (provided to speakers at no cost). The winner will be chosen and announced the next day.

You need not attend the Open Call Audition to be considered if you have submitted a formal nomination.
Likewise – if you attend the open call, you need not submit a formal nomination.
But truth be told, it can’t hurt to do both. We tend to be drawn to people who are enthusiastic about their ideas!

To spark is to ignite, activate, to set the world on fire.
