Arthur J. Epstein, Distinguished University Professor in the Departments of Physics and Chemistry, is also the Director of the Institute for Magnetic and Electronic Polymers at The Ohio State University. He received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1971, following a B.S. degree in Physics from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1966. He has mentored more than 45 students at Ohio State to completion of their Ph.D. degrees, is an author of over 650 publications, has been granted more than 35 patents. Epstein is one of the most highly cited physicists in the world.
