Dr. Victor ‘Soji’ Ladele
Dr. Victor 'Soji’ Ladele is a medical practitioner with interest in humanitarian services and a change agent in healthcare services delivery. His areas of expertise are in public health, emergency operations management, country capacity strengthening, and in the coordination of humanitarian support and services especially in situations of widespread disease outbreak. Apart from entrepreneurship, Dr. Ladele consults for the United Nation's specialized agencies.
Dr. Ladele volunteered at the early stages of the Ebola response and was deployed by the United Nations to Liberia. On arrival in West Africa, the value of his training in medicine, the military and business proved invaluable and he was soon responsible for the field technical staff of the World Health Organization in Liberia coordinating Ebola containment programs and personnel in the districts. In addition, he was tapped to head the first nationwide program for Ebola survivors which broke new ground in scientific research into what is now known about the sequelae of Ebola in survivors.
He is co-founder of Health Innovation Lab 5, a startup company founded on the conviction, reaffirmed by his experiences in the Ebola response, that the future of Global Health critically needs many more approaches to meet public health needs.
He is now a resident of Columbus OH living with his wife & children, while traveling frequently internationally.
