Eric is an award-winning songwriter, Emmy-nominated journalist, keynote speaker, communications coach, and college educator.
His national media credits include Entertainment Tonight, ESPN, PBS, NPR’s All Things Considered, Nickelodeon, The Canadian Broadcasting Company, The ABC Radio Network, and Sports Illustrated. He is regular performer at Nashville’s famous venue for songwriters, The Bluebird Café. In 2006, he was awarded the Ohioana Citation for Music Composition, joining recent recipients Nancy Wilson, Michael Feinstein, Jefferson Airplane’s Jorma Kaukonen, and Mannheim Steamroller founder Chip Davis. His songs have been embraced and adopted by numerous organizations, including Special Olympics Ohio, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
As a journalist, Eric earned an Emmy nomination for a retrospective on the Munich Olympic massacre, which he produced for American television. His speaking and training skills have put him before countless companies, including Battelle, IBM, Avon, Kroger, Wendy’s, and Huntington.
Eric holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative writing from the Rainier Writing Workshop. Away from the bright lights of the stage and media, he is a lecturer of public speaking at his alma mater, Ohio Wesleyan University.
