Stefan Farrenkopf is a singer-songwriter, playwright, and educator from Columbus. His music covers topics ranging from life, love, and loss, to parenting, road trips, and kitchen remodeling. He has played locally in the bands Any Questions, Station 14, and was a founding member of the a cappella group Throat Culture. Stefan is the writer and composer of the musicals Lunch Lady: Tater Tots of Love, which would be perfect for your high school, by the way; Beautiful Cul de Sac; and the musical adaptation A Midsummer Night’s Swing, or, It Don’t Mean A Thing If It Ain’t Got That Swing with Brian Casey. Stefan wrote Buzzfed: The Musical and The Bad Idea Theatre Company Presents Hamlet, The Musical for Available Light Theatre’s 24 Hour Theatre, writing the musicals overnight to be staged the next day. Stefan teaches English and directs the Upper School musicals at The Columbus Academy in Gahanna, where he lives with his wife and one to three kids depending on college schedules.
