Timothy P. Cripe, M.D., Ph.D., F.A.A.P., C.P.I.

Dr. Cripe is a Professor of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University, chief of the Division of Hematology/Oncology/Blood and Marrow Transplantation at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and a principal laboratory investigator in the Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Diseases. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at Princeton University and his MD/PhD at the University of Iowa where he also completed his residency training in pediatrics. He undertook advanced fellowship training in pediatric hematology/oncology at The Children's Hospital in Boston (Harvard) and The Children's Hospital in Denver (University of Colorado), and has served on the faculty at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Children’s Hospital and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. His research is focused on developing new cancer treatments for children, particularly targeted small molecules, oncolytic viruses, and other immunotherapies. He is most proud of his three children. He resides in Dublin, Ohio with his wife, a pediatric cardiologist, and their three dogs.
