Lee is the Director of the Ohio State Food Innovation Center. The Food Innovation Center specializes in innovative ways to improve the human condition by way of food. Professors Ken Lee, Steve Schwartz, Steve Clinton, Michael Leiblein and Mark Failla were awarded $3.75M to create a center that now successfully inspires food discoveries in all 15 OSU colleges. Ohio Governor Strickland named Ohio State a center of excellence for food and agriculture in May 2010. Dr. Lee is also a Professor of Food Science and Technology in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences at Ohio State, where he served as chair for 16 years.
Lee was re-elected to the University Senate and completed a second term as Chair of the Senate Steering Committee. He was recently elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in Nov 2015.
